First of all, let me set the scene: this is what the aurora eventually ended up looking like at Minnewanka this past Monday night (Canadian Thanksgiving). This was actually taken at 2:30 AM on Tuesday morning.

Now for the unusual part:

If you get out enough you're bound to get lucky...

From Meghan: Paul spent the night out chasing auroras and was originally a bit disappointed when he got home. Clouds had veiled the auroras wherever he went despite the fact that people across the country seemed to be seeing them. As it turns out, he came home with something pretty magical...

  1. Outstanding photography. Well deserved given the effort required to get the job done. The trailer for ‘Mountains in Motion’ is outstanding as well and I wish you and Paul all the best at the upcoming Banff Mountain Film Festival.
